Michal Kahn's Poi Spinning Book
I'll say it again: The poi spinners' bible.
Michal Kahn's book is the best and most comprehensive book on poi in print, it far surpasses any other books available. Poi Spinning is a must have for all poi enthusiasts out there.
The first few of Poi Spinning's 144 pages introduce you to poi and basic patterns. It then takes you on a steady journey through other beginner moves, intermediate moves and onto advanced tricks, all the while aided by over 500 clear illustrations. Some of the moves covered include: reels, weave, butterfly, push-thrus, take outs, pirouettes, stops and stalls, wraps, lock outs, five-beat weaves, the full waist wrap and many more. There are also sections on fire spinning, choreography, inventing moves, developing your own style and safety.
If you learn everything in this book you'll be an excellent poi spinner, capable of creating you own innovations and choreographing your own shows.
