Banana Kendama Marble - Beginners Kendama
Kendama players combine hand-eye coordination, precision, and split-second timing to create stunning tricks that take years to master, but seconds to fall in love with. You can spend hours of your time perfecting just one trick, but every click and catch is so satisfying.
A rich history
The Kendama toy's true origin is disputed but it found its modern name in Japan. The Japanese were responsible for evolving the Kendama beyond its roots as a simple cup and ball toy. Many tricks still have Japanese roots and that is why the different elements of the toy have Japanese names.
After a surge in popularity in the 2000s there are now players and competitions all around the world. The Kendama World Cup takes place annually in Japan, a nod to the overwhelming contributions made there in terms of toy design and the evolution of tricks.
