What is Kendama?

The Kendama toy's true origin is disputed, but it found its modern name in Japan. The Japanese evolved the Kendama beyond its roots as a simple cup and ball toy.

Playing with a Kendama involves tricks that catch the ball on three cups and even spike! All tricks are variations on this, and the variety is nearly endless. Kendama skills can rapidly develop into very complex tricks!
