These clear/UV blue acrylic contact juggling balls are moulded to the same high standards as our other acrylic balls so you're guaranteed a precise shape.
The acrylic in these balls has been loaded with a UV reactive pigment which glows bright blue when the ball is immersed in ultra violet or black light. This ball also looks exceptional at dusk as it picks up ambient UV light and gives off an eerie glow.
Although these balls are clear, they are not as clear as Standard or Crystal Clear acrylic balls. They also have a slight blue hint when under natural light due to the UV component in sunlight.
SINGLE BALL CONTACT JUGGLING: As a general rule, the smaller the contact ball, the smaller the contact surface area and therefore the harder it is to control. Similarly, the larger the ball, the easier it is to balance. So for single ball contact juggling a larger ball is generally preferred - anything from a 75mm ball upwards, depending on personal preference.
MULTI-BALL CONTACT JUGGLING: If you are interested in manipulating any more than two balls, then the above rule is inversed: the smaller the ball, the easier it is to control multiples of them. We would not recommend going for anything larger than a 75mm ball, especially if you are learning multiball contact juggling. The 65mm and 70mm balls are the most popular for multi ball, but again, exactly what size to choose comes down to personal preference and the size of your hands.
As you may have noticed, the 75mm ball is a good all-rounder; it's big enough to learn on and light enough for precise movements. The 75mm ball can be used as a single ball or in multiball work, but learning to palm spin with any more than two 75mm balls in one hand starts to become awkward.
