Methodologie Trapezoidale Volume 1 (Single Trapeze) by Yvette Challande.
Although written in French this trapeze book is a very useful guide to anyone interested in learning single static trapeze techniques, methods, moves and tricks.
Apart from the preface written in French the rest of the book is made up solely of clear step by step pictures breaking each move into its component parts. We have noticed that in rare cases some movements or transitions are missed - the guidance of an experienced aerialist will help you to spot these occasional omissions.
Unlike some of the other books by Yvette, this book doesn't have a difficulty rating system. This means extra caution must be taken as some moves can be harder/more dangerous than they appear. Again, professional supervision will protect against this.
Even though this is one of the best books on trapeze that we can source, it should not be used as a substitute to professional coaching. We strongly recommend you only first attempt moves in this book when supervized by an experience aerialist and in a safe environment.
160 pages illustrating 180 figures with 500 black and white pictures.
