Methodologie de Corde et Tissus by Yvette Challande.
Although written in French this book is a very useful guide to anyone interested in learning free rope and tissus (aerial fabric) techniques and methods.
Apart from the preface written in French the rest of the book is made up solely of clear step by step pictures breaking each move into its component parts. We have noticed that in rare cases some movements or transitions are missed - the guidance of an experienced aerialist will help you to spot these occasional omissions.
Unlike some of the other books by Yvette, this book doesn't have a difficulty rating system. This means extra caution must be taken as some moves can be harder/more dangerous than they appear. Again, professional supervision will protect against this.
Even though this is a great book on aerial acrobatics, it should not be used as a substitute to professional coaching. We strongly recommend you only first attempt moves in this book when supervized by an experience aerialist and in a safe environment.
221 pages fully illustrated with black and white pictures.
