Aerial silks require a rigging component around which to tie them. A figure 8, also known as a rescue 8 is a piece of climbing apparatus that is commonly used for this purpose in silks' rigging. You can buy figure 8s here as well as aerial silk hooks, also known as cloches, specifically designed for hanging aerial fabric. All of these components have been strength tested and come with breaking load limits.
If you need advice on what rigging elements are needed to hang aerial silks then please get in touch and we'll be happy to help. We cannot, however, advise on anchor points or anything to do with the structure of the room or venue in which you are going to rig your silks.
We promise not to spam you!
